Police in Hoima City in collaboration with various security agencies on Sunday evening arrested the office messenger at Butema Health Centre three for allegedly selling coronavirus vaccination cards to unvaccinated people.
ASP Allan Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, told our reporter that the office messenger identified as Ivan was arrested at Booma grounds in Hoima City.
Following a tip off, securing operatives posing as Vaccination Card buyers laid a trap and the suspect was caught red-handed.
Hakiza explains that the suspect is in police custody at Hoima City as investigations to net his accomplices continue.
The police publicist confirmed that three health workers at Butema health centre three including the in-charge have been summoned to make statements.
Hakisa said that Ivan has also made horrifying revelation about several Hoima Regional Referral Hospital Staff and a number of civil servants in Hoima who are involved in trading Covid-19 vaccination cards.
