The Ngora county Member of Parliament, Juliet Achayo Lodou, has donated maternity kits worth shs20 million to Ngora health center IV for use by mothers during labour.

She said the kits contain everything needed in the labour room, start up items for mother’s like soap, towel among others.
“I don’t want to hear that you send mothers for gloves because the kits contain them and the National Medical Stores also supplies more of them, unless you say you don’t make correct quotation.
Sarah Atukei, one of the mothers from Oteten village said the delivery kits have shaded of the worry mothers have while looking for money to buy delivery items.
James Omoding of Omodoi village said Achayo’s initiatives are beneficial because she delivered an ambulance, built classrooms in some schools and also helped them during COVID-19 pandemic lock-down by providing hand-washing facilities.
Esther Iculet, the acting district health officer for Ngora district, applauded Achayo for the intervention saying that the district did not budget for maternity kits for mothers yet it is a very sensitive necessity in the health.
