Dr. Peter Ssebutinde the District Health Officer – DHO Mbarara has warned the public against the outbreak of the third wave of corona virus following public reluctance in observing the standard operating procedures.
The standard operating procedures include, keeping two meter distance, hand washing or sanitizing, wearing facemask more especially in public, among others.
In most districts, including Masindi, Buliisa and others, the public has relaxed in observing the standard operating procedures which is alarming thus risking the outbreak of the third wave of the deadly virus in the country.
“Third wave of the deadly corona virus is likely to break out if people don’t observe the standard operating procedures,” Dr. Ssebutinde warned.
He has therefore asked the public to adhere to the standard operating procedures imposed by the government of Uganda through the ministry of health to combat the spread of corona virus in the country.
