Masindi district on Saturday received 2,506 doses of Moderna vaccines, and 300 doses of AstraZeneca from the government of Uganda through the ministry of health, Patrick Dr Baguma, the District Health Officer (DHO).
The government of Uganda is sourcing for more vaccines to ensure that all citizens are vaccinated against the deadly corona virus pandemic.
Dr Baguma explains that vaccination exercise is now open to all people above the age of 18 years.
He has therefore encouraged all people above the 18 years to turn up for the exercise at any of the vaccination centers in the district.
Some of the vaccination centers include, Masindi district general hospital, Kitara Health Centre IV, Kijunjubwa health centre, Bwijanga health centre IV and others.
The DHO has assured the public that the vaccines are safe and free.
“The vaccination exercise is smoothly ongoing in the above centres at zero cost, therefore no one should be charged for the exercise,” he notes.
