Rose Kirabira Kobusinge, the Masindi resident district commissioner, has applauded the members of parliament (MPs) from the district for procuring emergency vehicles and ambulances.

The four MPs procured a total of four emergency vehicles and three ambulances to add to the solitary ambulance that the district depended on.

“It’s not easy for someone to buy an ambulance or emergency vehicle for public use, what they (MPs) have done will surely save lives, and we are happy,” She said.

Kirabira reiterated that the new acquisitions have solved the problem of too much workload on the one ambulance that Masindi district had before the legislators’ intervention.

She thanked the people of Masindi for electing selfless MPs saying that in some places, MPs make empty promises to voters but when they reach the August house, they only mind about their self-interests.

“Your MPs are totally down-to-earth, they don’t want to see their electorates die because of lack of transport, and this will save lives,” she said.

Kirabira encourage the law makers to continue with the spirit of putting their people above self, saying it is the essence of exemplary leadership.
