The National Organization for the People Living with Hepatitis B in Uganda has donated hand sanitizers and facemasks to the office of the Kasese District FDC Chairperson, Saulo Maate to help the members in the fight against the deadly Covid-19.
The donation included 40 bottles of 250 milliliters Medisan Hand Sanitizers and 120 facemasks.
Handing over the donation, Kenneth Kabagambe, the organization’s Executive Director explained that the donation was meant to benefit the people who come to the office without facemasks and sanitizers.
Kabagambe appealed to the community not to only concentrate on the fight against Covid-19 but to also put focus on some other diseases including Hepatitis B, cholera among others through embracing their vaccines.
While receiving the donation, Saulo Maate, the FDC chairperson described it as timely saying that some of his clients sometimes come to office without facemasks.
Maate pledged to distribute the donation to the 44 sub county FDC chairpersons across the district.
