The Prime Minister Rt.Hon. Robinah Nabanja has constructed a health centre III for the community in Kakumiro district.
The Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Acheng commissioned the Mpasana health center III in the presence of the Prime Minister on Saturday.
Dr. Acheng asked the health workers to use the facility properly to serve the people.
It is the only health centre III for Mpasan Town council, in Kakumiro District.
Dr. told the medical workers to utilize the new facility to reduce maternal mortality.
Turning to Covid-19, the minister warned the public against spreading rumours on social media to mislead the people.
“People should continue to observe the guidelines which were put in place because Coronavirus exists and is still with us’” she said.
Dr. Acheng assured that Uganda is going to receive more vaccines to inoculate the people against Covid-19 and appealed to the people to embrace vaccination.
Meanwhile, Nabanja urged the health workers at the facility to deliver services with care and avoid stealing drugs saying that she constructed the facility help the people solve their health issues.
On her part, the Bugangaizi East Member of Parliament, Aisha Agaba commended the Premier for her noble contribution.
She donated one medical bed for the maternity unit, 40 litters of liquid soap, 2 boxes of face masks to support the new facility.
