In a bid to prevent water bone diseases in the oil rich Buliisa district, the Buliisa Constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Allan Atugonza has rehabilitated boreholes to residents of Biiso sub county Buliisa District.
Hon. Atugonza is fulfilling his promises that he made to the Buliisa residents while in campaign.
The politician has rehabilitated over ten water sources even before representing the people of Buliisa in the parliament.
Hon. Atugonza who didn’t expose the cost, told our reporter that he considers the urgency of the water source, and he is implementing on government programs.
“Our people need to access clean water, and this can be done through implementing on the government programs. My desire and will is to serve the people of Buliisa, and pledge to do that,” he assured.
Tundulu Rugongeza one of the residents who was very happy and excited said their borehole got fault for over 4yrs without being repaired leaving many families to struggle for safe water for their families.
Rugongeza adds that they have been sharing dirty water with wild animals as some of the family members could be infected with water bone diseases like bilhazia hence risking their life.
Richard Uwachgiwu the LC1 Village secretary Kalengeja said since they had no clean water, water bone diseases was a challenge to most of the families especially in Kalengeja village Busingiro parish Biiso sub county Buliisa District.
The legislator have been rehabilitating various bore holes in various places in the district and supporting residents in various ways.
